Tie the Knot with Traditional Tartan Hand Fasting's

The term Tying the Knot comes from the old Celtic ritual of tying the hands of the couple at an unofficial marriage whereby a couple would be together for a period of one year as a trial marriage, if everything worked out they would make it official.

Today this custom is often integrated into the wedding ceremony itself where the hands are tied by the officiant.

These hand fasting's are 2" x 59" and available in many clan and family tartans. Made by special order, lead time approx 6 weeks.
