8 yards is the traditional amount of fabric used in a man's kilt and therefore the one we recommend most. The 'Art' of kiltmaking is recreating the pattern of the tartan into the pleated area, whilst shaping the kilt between the waist and hips to fit. It is often difficult to recreate the pattern into the pattern and give a good depth of pleat when using less than 8 yards.
Our 8 Yard Kilt is hand made in Scotland from 8 yards of mediumweight 100% wool fabric, custom made to your measurements. Our kilts are made using only the finest quality materials and tailored perfectly to fit your body. Unless specified our kilts are made with 2 buckles and straps and pleated to the sett.
Our kilts are supplied with complementary matching tartan flashes and kilt pin.
